Hey shooters. I found this sku 151010 OD rifle just a few days ago in a downtown Houston Academy Sports & Outdoors. I liked it because of the color, the compensator, and the price. Just like you, when I got home I couldn't find it in the S&W catalog. This forum made me feel a lot better about my purchase.

So do you still consider this a rare model or is it more common now?

I bought mine at Academy in Norman Oklahoma in December.

Academy sells a lot of firemans; they do not take trade in's or sell used guns.

Once the sales clerks know you have made a couple of purchase's; they are ready to help when they see you walk up to the counter; even the manager remembers my name.

Ok Pics of the OD M&P 15-22 with the Magpul MOE furniture in FDE.
Just waiting on the barrel shrouds and the slings and these will be kitted out and ready to go full bore!

Those are awesome! I want to see a picture of them with the uppers switched. Might look cool...

I picked up my son's in OD green at the Academy store in Tulsa at Christmas. I didn't know it was rare then, only that my only other color choice in stock was pink camo.

I have only shot it once. Not having used a stock sight like that before my group was low and right about the size of a plate. I need some more range time.
