I purchased an S&W Bodyguard 380 on March, 2014 from Sportsman's Outdoor Superstore. The shipping was quick, but the quality is not there. Right after I opened the box, I found that the magazine would not go in to the magazine well unless you hold in the magazine release button. I thought it is a new gun; it may need some kind of break in. I have cleaned, and lubricated on the new pistol before I put round through it. I fired about 100 rounds at the range. There were some other issues shown; slide never locks open after the last round has been fired, miss-feed and failures to feed on about every second or third shot. Have tried it with different types of ammo. It does the same. Called S&W customer support, it toke 5 days to get return label and have been sent it back to S&W for two weeks, still didn't hear anything from S&W. Heard lot of good things about the S&W GB 380 and their customer support before purchase this gun. But this was a great disappointment.

Sorry to hear about the problems you are having with your bodyguard! I bought mine a little over a year ago and love it. I really found that no break in period for mine. I did notice that the first couple times the magazine did not want to lock in but went away after intitial cleaning and now stays in and ejects perfectly. I have had no failure to feeds or any other mishaps. It shoots flawlessly and have carried it daily since break in and feel very confident about it. Smith and Wesson will get it all worked out and then you can enjoy being a part of the BG family.
