The Simon Templar car revisited

Many years ago, I had a friend and working associate who owned a P1800-S Volvo. It was white with a red interior. At the time, I owned a '65 Stingray, and we had fun comparing our cars. I recall that it was an impressive automobile and enjoyable to ride in.

Sorry I meant Sweden, not Norway.

PS. Super cool car and video too.. I really appreciate you posting it.

I always liked the old Volvo 240 Sedan. I was really surprised when the stop making it. Most of the Volvo’s I see around here are the SUV’s.

I remember fondly the older Volvos when a was a kid.

The PV444 that looked like a miniature Ford from 1946.

And one of my neighbours had a 122S that reminded a small Chrysler 300.

I watched a car show that had a P1800 being restored for a fellow that did not know it was for him, they had it completely rebuilt, body and engine and the inside. The fellow doing it said he wanted the red leather drivers seat as he had something more to do to it. He took it and a few days later it was back, he had taken it to Sir Roger Moore and he autographed it on the back panel and had drawn the stick man Saint, when they presented it to the owner he was speechless. They had painted it Diamond white, it was beautiful. Jeff

I always liked the look of those little P1800's
That one is just a whole lot more of a good thing.
Ultra light with lots of HP. Very reminiscent of the early Cobras, but probably handles and drives a lot better.

My parents were looking to purchase a new car in 1966. They looked at a Mustang. Then looked at a powder blue Volvo 122S with black interior. Bought the Volvo. It was given to me in 1977. Sold it to a gentleman in town and he still has it.
