The one that I used for the above pix: Nikon 17-35mm f/2.8D ED-IF AF-S.
nice. Ive sold most of my 'nicer' glass, in anticipation of making the FF switch. I plan on keeping my crop-sensor bodys, and letting the wife use them. (i figure if I get HER into it.. it will be easier for ME to get nicer stuff! ;-) ) I guess it doesnt really matter.. its a write-off anyway. Ive been holding off, waiting to see if the rumored D700X/S actually comes out to make the switch, but we'll see. What bodies are you using?

For those, I used the "old" faithful D2H.
I hear that! I think my D2h is my favorite body of all time. The 2x is nice for the MP, but the 2h can't be beat for skintones, plus 8 fps is nice. Especially when shooting for HDRs. I'll post a few examples if ya want. Let me know.

Short trip to the shooting range
Just got back from the range. This morning was the first time that I have a chance to get to the range, since I got my 15-22 back from the smith (barrel threaded/flash hider installed).
I have about half an hour before I have to get back to work.
Arrived the range, finished 4 mags of Mini Mags (100 rounds) in less than 15 minutes and done.
The sight was a little off btw, will need to go back for sighting in this weekend.
Flawless, no hick up of any kind. The extractor and ejector is still there.
I'm so happy.

Very Nice. I got mine on 1/28/10. With 'flash Suppressor". Looks like you got it going on.

Thank you and congrats on your new rifle.
Don't forget to throughly clean and lube your new rifle prior the first trip to the range.
Use good quality rounds. I have great result using CCI MiniMags, Stingers and CCI Standard Velocity. Federal Lightning works perfectly as well.

I have that bag. Its a really good bag. I can fit my 15-22, my M&P15, Sig 229, and Sig Mosquito with range gear in there.

+1, I've just got it tonight. Really well made indeed, fit my 15-22 and still has a space another rifle. Should I look for one to fill in.

A spare 15-22 would be nice, especially the Magpul version one.
Forgot to report another good shooting (basement) session 4 full mags of MINI Mags, flawless.

how big is your basement? do you have a homemade bullet trap or a commercially available one?
