Ageing the door went well, still a few "bits-n-pieces" and finish to apply, but not bad too bad...

Door finished.
Sanded between each coat with a total of three of satin poly, now to get it hung after I finish the casing, vestibule and portcullis. I added the verdigris to the bronze Cavlos and rust on the iron, fabricated the little black plaque behind the door knocker too, but I still need to add verdigris running down from the vertical cross-members. Have my hinges, still need door handle/latch hardware. Came out to ~175 lbs too.

Thank you for that, it means a lot. Wasn't really sure if I was boring y'all with this or if anyone would even care tbh?
I will, working on ageing and putting the finish on the door frame now (it'll be similar to the door in that regards) then I can move to the vestibule and portcullis (need to hurry up and get my other iron lantern wired so I can get it hung in the vestibule when done).

As far as plans, in my head only.
Everything hardware wise has been purchased online. The hinges I found at Lowes, once you hit the 100lb+ load limit per hinge they jump up to $100+ per hinge. That's absurd.
I found these, medieval spear tip style, 100lb limit (per), 13", almost 1/4" thick, heavy duty, black powder coated steel for $30 bucks per hinge, ball bearing gliders too.

Nice. I like the .45 angle.... We did gates on a driveway a while ago and had the same question. They were nailed in plus epoxy because outdoors so it was permanent. You could just nail yours in and rotate them seasonally.

These are nailed in pretty tight, ain't no rotating them at this point.
The Portcullis will get round Clavos, (hopefully some that are spiked) at each intersection.

Figured I'd go ahead and start buying my furniture for my lounge so I can occupy it ASAP on completion, I won't bore you with the door frame I'm finishing up until I get the door hung, but I bought my first leather "club chair" for the room.
Only leather club chairs and maybe a chesterfield tufted couch for the room, none of of that fluffy, puffy overstuffed leather that seems to be so popular. The older, cracked or scuffed worn leather the better.
Everyone usually migrates to the same seats on cigar night, I think I may have already found mine? lol

Yes, it has to be a variable speed exhaust fan to the outside plus a fresh air source or you'll run the risk of a negative air pressure, Commercial Grow House industry provide these systems that are very affordable now. My buddies have these in their lounges and we've had up to 10-11 people at once with zero smoke. The AC has to be "dedicated" or you'll have bleed over if in the house, but mines in the top floor of my garage and will have a mini-split for the hvac.
However, without the Ozinizer, the room will always stink like a stale bar. I knew someone here that only had a commercial smoke eater in his room and it evacuated the smoke great, but his entire house always stunk like my buddies rooms, they don't have the Ozonizer. The Ozonizer is key.
One of my buddy's room, that's his walk-in humidor in the back.

Love everyone's cigar rooms!

My cigar "area" is a bit different, but serves my purposes

My back porch, and fire-pit, are covered with a tin roof

Nothing like having a cigar, and the fire-pit going, during a good rain!

Love a tin roof in the rain! Watched the video, nice fire pit too.
This is my cigar room right now, but it gets a little chilly in the winter.
