The Ultimate S&W Model 52 / 952 Thread

I have a H.Gibbs mold and it is a 148 grain WC.
I like 2.8grains of B.Eye.
Good for 50yds and 25yds.
I shot this load in many 2700 NRA matchs.
I made Master in 1971

Sure the 52 is nice and has some strong supporters but the 5 round mag gets to be a drag. I have one 52 and five 952s including one long slide. I think that says it all for me anyway.
The model 52 magazines easily convert to 6 rounds. And if you are good at machining and get the slots at the proper angle they can be converted to 7 rounds

Had my 52 for some time, and have about a dozen magazines for her. 5 rounds has never bothered me in the slightest. :) I have a case or two of older Winchester ammo for her, but it is put back as I reload my own as well. I like the Ivories for her, but wish I could fine a nice pair of Stags for my 639. :)
