The wedding was a smashing success. My "little girl" is now a wife. Everyone had a great time, except I missed the whole thing. I did walk her down the aisle, kissed her on the cheek and took my seat. My seat behind the ushers. All I could see was usher-asses! My son (13 y.o.) was the last usher in the line, right in front of me.
Not wanting to move and take the focus off of the happy couple, I stayed where I was. I heard the "I do's" then a prayer. At that point my son's knees buckled and he headed to the floor, out cold. I was happy to be where I was when I caught him.
I took him outside and my brother (former EMT) and a couple of others met us there. We didn't even disrupt the service.
I had to leave him there because he was supposed to escort my 11 y.o. daughter out.
In the end, he's ok and I got to escort both of my daughters at the same wedding!
Not a bad day.
Anyway, here we are. Walking down the aisle and the Daddy dance.
