UPDATE

The surgery went well. The Doctor said that it was a good thing we had the surgery so quickly after the discovery as the tumor had tripled in size in the past 5 weeks.

When I left her in the Critical Care Unit last night, Connie was sitting up, eating ice chips, and conversing normally.

Time to grab a shower and head back.

Again, I cannot adequately express my feelings about just how damn cool you folks are.

Our Father in heaven. We come to You this morning with bowed heads and humble hearts first to praise You that the surgery went well. We ask You to touch this woman and heal her if that is in Your will, for we know all healing comes from You. We ask You to be with the doctors and nurses to whom You have given the knowledge and skill to do the work You have called them to do. May Your hands guide them as they go about their duties both now and in the future. We thank You and we praise You for these people.

Father, we also lift our brother bluejax up to You and ask you to strengthen him, and comfort him in this his hour of need. Let him feel Your loving embrace as he goes through this. May he know that You are with him always.

We ask these things in the name of Your most precious and holy Son, Jesus the Christ.
