This beauty sat on GB with zero bids and an honest price on the first go around. I could not believe nobody snatched it up so when it came up again I took it out of principle. :D I did have to fend off a late-comer but they gave up quickly. If that person is here, sorry!

Here she is... a "Sweet Lew" Horton 24-3. Enjoy!

I traded mine off several years ago to a good friend.
I should have kept it.

I have one and love it. $850 is the going rate, if you got it for less than that, you knocked it out. Nice find!!

Very Nice!

I had one like that (AEL08xx) but traded it for the stainless version that I still carry.

You're right, they don't make them like this anymore, that is one beautiful revolver.

Great catch. I have one like that around here somewhere -- ANIB, tools, docs. I can't bring myself to shoot it. There are other options in the safe that give me the three-inch .44 range experience.

I think $850 is low for a top-end 24-3 with accessories. Guns in this condition have sold for a thousand or even a little more. I would think a somewhat used (95-97%) gun without box or accessories might go for $750-850. But deals can be found, and good on you if you got this one for less.

Excellent photos.

Guys, thanks for the compliments! The 24 pictured in the first post was purchased for $816.00. The only thing missing was the cleaning brush, but I had an extra one that I put in the box. The gun was fired but is pristine. As I "shoot everything I own" this one will be no exception. :)

On a related pricing note, I purchased the 24 below for $600 a year or so ago. It was pretty well worn, no box, and non original hammer and trigger. It also had the flat sided finger groove combat grips which aren't my favorite. As it was the only one I had seen in years, I snagged it. I probably overpaid a bit for it, but I sold it recently for the same money to a friend that kept asking to buy it.

Here's that one for reference...
