Please post links to examples of those who ran to the sound of the guns.

Deputy First Class Blaine Gaskill did exactly what he was sworn to do.
He ran to confront a school shooter and ended what could have been a larger tragedy:

Two Alexandria PD officers also ran into the fight and engaged the shooter. Both were awarded the Medal of Valor for their heroism. APD was not aware of the congresman’s presence at the baseball field b/c U.S. Capitol Police had not notified them and the resulting confusion at the scene could have been much worse. Neither of the Capitol police officers was in uniform. I’m not knocking the Capitol Police b/c that might not have been their protocol in the past.
