I like S&W revolvers, I do not own any of them though and really not interested in the M&P revolvers. I have owned 686's in the past, one of them being a PC 686. I would rather shoot my Ruger Redhawk's and my GP100's so I sold all my S&W revolvers. I own Ruger Revolvers and even the Ar-556 but I own S&W Auto's all of them shown here (M&P's). No Ruger Auto's at all.
My first S&W was a MP compact 9. While it wasn't 'perfect' for me (speaking on the short grip) the overall ergonomics were. So added a full size 9 for range/home defense, then a compact .22 as another plinker to go along with my Buckmark, and most recently a Shield PC for potential SD/carry.
Zero problems with any of them, so since they fit me well and do what i ask of them, why not keep with the same line.
After all, each one puts a smile on my face when i'm at the range giving it some play time.
found a 45 shield at the new indoor range up the road from me, I'm looking at $465 out the door after my leo (5%) discount, I'm very tempted, thinking about it over dinner with the wife
You should have brought flowers to dinner with you. the conversation would have been really smooth that way.
I really enjoy all my M&P's I had the compact in the picture before and got stupid and thought that I needed another pistol instead, so I traded it. A year later I am in the LGS and low and behold I see my old 9C back in the shop. I bought it back and have not turn back since. I had three Glock's at the time. Traded all three Glock's in on M&P's and bought some more. I now have the one's that I wanted so I am good now. I am really happy with the M&P line up. The 45 FS is definitely going to get an APEX trigger kit soon, the 9C got the Apex. Ram installed. Other than that the triggers and reset are all great in the others.
M&P Fan Boy now ? I guess so, and happy to be one. I tried the Sig P320 never did anything for me. Tried the Glock's they were just not American enough for me and did not fit my hand as well as the M&P's. Springfield XD's tried one 4.5" No thanks, traded it. So that's how I became the M&P fan boy. Not interested in Walther either. Not knocking anyone else that like those companies, but the M&P gets me going in my stomach and that and performance is what it is all about.
I had to edit this because I forgotten that on the M&P BG380 I did put an extra power hammer spring in it from Galloway Precision to eliminate light strikes. This is my 5th BG380, the other 4 thought that I needed a 9mm so I traded them off and would repurchase them. I have the 9mm now in the Shield so I bought my 5th M&P BG380 with the Removable Crimson trace on it from the factory. Very happy with it. The new spring added about a pound and a half to the trigger pull. That is no big deal to me, it is a pocket bug gun and will only shoot it very seldom on the range. I have never had one light strike with any of my BG380's but when and if the time ever comes I want to make sure that I do not ever have a light strike ( which is the biggest complaint on this pistol ) I like the BG380 better than the LCP and the P230 and P938. Yes I had all those also.
I started out with the Shield. Then added the .22 compact. Liked the M&P line so much I traded in my Sig P320 sc for an M&P Compact. Now my wife wants a Bodyguard!
Been a S&W fan boy when revolvers were "King" and everyone carried one LOL. Once I tried my first poly gun, I was hooked (SD9VE). From there, added 3-FS M&PS, 3-Shields and an SD40VE. All stock, all accurate and all 100% reliable. They all do what they're suppose to do. Still shooting my dad's nickel model 10 HB and looking for a nice model 15 4" to add to the family. My only 1911 is a Ruger FS and I have no complaints there either! I originally thought the thread might be "like a box of chocolates" but I like Lays chips too
I got some and I am not sure how that happened. I didn't start out trying to get more then one. Probably why I am over weight I
just don't know when to stop.
