Around Christmas, a co-worker decided he was going to buy some guns. I offered to loan him my Glock 17, 19, & 26 to shoot but he declined and went out and bought generation 4 Glock 19 & 26, a 43 and a 42. He did not like the 19 and sold it to another co-worker. He shot the 26 and 43 and carried them both when he could. Yesterday, he announced the Glock 26 was for sale and everybody laughed. Except me, I told him I would take it.

He bought two holsters, two more spare mags, +2 extensions, and night sights before he decided he did not like it. I am going to get the night sights swapped to my Glock 32, keep two of the four twelve round mags for my Glock 26. Then I am going to sell the package to my nephew, who is a lefty.

With all due respect, the guy doesn't sound so smart. Buying a bunch of guns without shooting/handling them. Not smart. His loss, your gain.

He didn't want to borrow my guns because the 17 & 19 are Gen. 2; so he thought they would feel different than the newer Gen. 3 & 4 versions. I am sorry he has lost a few hundred bucks on these two Glocks.

He is now looking for an AR type rifle.

That's a lot of Glocks. I have owned 5 including a Gen 2 I bought new in 1988. I was motivated by all the media hype they were getting and had to have one. I don't think I would want sixteen. I am down to 2 now after giving one away and selling the others. . .a 40 caliber compact that I killed a deer with and a 380 that I will shed as soon as I find somebody who wants it. . .for good reason, nobody does. I'm keeping the 40 caliber even though they are out of style right now. Glock really did it right when they built that one.

I like Glocks. I spent years fighting it without even having the chance to hold one in my hand. I finally got my mitts on a Gen 3 21, it fit.

I've owned two now, the last one went back to its previous owner because he really wanted it back. I want another just like it, but I also really want a 30. Only reason I don't have one is because they are super pricey here and I have a never-ending house reno to pay for.

To be honest not all places have all those for rent. I have NEVER tried any gun I have bought because either I know what I'm looking for or it impossible to rent

My first two Glock 26 pistols were Gen. 2.5's; I sold the one on the right to a lawman here on the forum. My third was a Gen. 3, my son bought it from me.

Send me a price and a few pics of your 27. I may need it.

DocB, send me a price and a few photos of the Glock 42 please. It is not popular here either, but I wouldn't mind owning one. My son has two, they work well if you find the right ammo for them. His are finicky, worse than a .22 pistol.

I used to live off Irwinton Hwy. at the Bibb/Jones county line. A trip down memory lane might be interesting.
