I recently purchased a Wolf & Klar Third Model 44 Special 5" barrel serial 41349. It was shipped 10-3-32 to Wolf & Klar Co., Fort Worth, Texas. It was shipped in blue finish and now has a worn non-factory reblue finish. The hammer has been polished shiny. The old gun is as smooth as glass and a good shooter.
It had Pachmayr rubber grips when I found it. A pair of period correct grips were found at a local gun show and sent to Gatorbaiter to work his magic. The grips were extremely rough with divots of wood missing in the checkering and the remaining checkering was worn flat. The grips came back far exceeding my expectations and in a timely manner. I highly recommend Gatorbaiter for your grip restoration needs. Thank you Hugh!! I have asked Sebago Son to publish photos of the old gun.
Regards,
Gary
