Third seal acquitted

Justice was served. But the unfair accusations these patriots endured were BS from the start.

If I was a SEAL, or any other Spec Ops type-or ANYBODY on active duty, puttin myself in danger everyday in the War on Terror and I was treated like this I would:
1.Publicly announce that I was NOT reenlisting and:
2.Publicly announce that when I became a civilian again I would tell anybody and everybody not to even THINK of enlisting in the military because this is how they treat you.

So who's going after the CO who took this to Captain's Mast in the first place? As I recall, they turned down the nonjudicial punishment and asked for courts-martial instead (remember the incident in Band of Brothers with LT Winters and his CO?) These SEALS were smart. They knew they wouldn't be convicted for doing what they did (not that it was bad) to who it was they did it too...

Outstanding!.......It should NOT have even gone as far as it did. Thanks to the 3x Seals/Patriots!

1st, November can't get here soon enough so we can stop the bleeding. 2nd, we need to send Obama back to Chicago post haste in 2013. Hopefully, the damage done thus far can be migitated and will not destroy this country.

That eyewitness who testified for the prosecution better hope he gets discharged or transferred real quick. Those aquitted probably will not stay in for long either. Would you re-enlist after that attempted lynching?

Justice

The Navy could turn around and invstigate those who preferred charges. Also, the command could ask the IG to look into the process. If they spot something not done in accordance with regulations-it goes back to the command for investigation.
Considering the high profile of the case I wouldn't let the whole thing drop. Someone wasted the time and talents of a valuable combat asset-the Navy SEALS. Instead of hunting terrorists they were defending themselves in court. Someone in the upper ranks of the Navy did not do their job-did not take care of their people-did not stop an injustice.

Use your heads-

"Despite the opinions of some who preferred that these charges not proceed, I allowed these charges to go forward because I truly believe that the best process known for uncovering the truth, when the facts are contested, is that process which is found in our adversarial justice system," Maj. Gen. Charles Cleveland said in a statement after McCabe's acquittal.

"There is no better way to discover the truth than by presenting the evidence to an unbiased panel of members, having witnesses testify under oath, and having rigorous cross examination," he said.

I was so great to see all the support those guys got outside the courthouse here. The local news kept showing the people outside the courthouse that were basically demonstrating and showing their support for all the defendants. Does a body good to see that. I don't know if it made the national news but all the local stations covered the support those 3 had.

I am glad for him, I'm not so certain that ALL of them will bail from the military though, sure, MOST of us would tell the Nav to "go bite the purple donut" after that, but MOST of us would not make it as SEALs either, would we? No tellin' what's in a man's uhhh..., "spirit", I guess, huh? I wish all three of them the best!

If it's going to ruin his career, why stay? Go where there's money and respect. Certainly he's gotten neither in the Navy. There are private contractors who will pay him what he's worth and not treat him like garbage.
