This fell off my bodyguard 2.0

G Im anxious to see what Beretta comes up with. A double stack Pico with good ergos, steel subframe, and +P capable would blow this new bodyguard out of the water IMO.

Nope. It's ALL about size, weight and capacity and no steel sub frame could possibly be lighter. More capacity and +P it would have to be bigger as well. No go.

Well folks, all this fussing and fuming about this and that "problem" is a little off the mark. These sundry little glitches are simply symptoms of the REAL problem.

These guns were made by folks who used to focus on building the best possible product for the price. Now they're built by folks focused on building the product at the lowest possible cost.

There's a price to pay for operating with this philosophy---and you're the ones paying that price!

My 2¢
I don't think the gun makers are getting rich. Well, maybe the C suite is. The business school sharks come into an established brand and then rape it. See Boeing.
Highly skilled employes are ageing or being pushed out and low skilled and paid help is manning increasingly automated machinery.

The old Colt Pythons were too complicated and expensive to survive.
Simple designs that can be made from stampings and injecting molded are hard to compete against price wise.

In the 1911 world Kimber's C suite decided to incorporate the first MIM parts but purchased the cheapest junk they could find. It was unreliable. Now decades later there are still panicked people that don't believe MIM is any good, never mind that the airplanes they fly in and the cars they own use it.

I get my gun, clean, oil, take to range. Shoot 150 rounds of american eagle 95g fmj. No problems. I get home, disassemble, then go to reassemble; putting slide back on. While putting the slide back on, this falls off. Nothing was forceful or felt "off." I don't understand. The gun is broken now :/

I traded my LCP Max for this, buyer beware.

I sent an email to s&w's warranty service. Wish me luck.

Have you gotten your 2.0 back yet?

Negative. I called too and they couldn't give me any details, only, average wait time is currently 5-6 weeks. I'm nearing 2 months. Not exactly happy about it. I haven't carried since. Debating if I should've just kept my LCP Max or not. I modified it a bunch too, sold it though, to put towards this. I wonder if I'll ever get me 2.0 back or if just after a ridiculous amount of time they'll be like we'll send you a new one. Will keep updated and let know when and if I get it back.

Okay, Mine should be back today. it has been exactly 2 months and 3 days since I sent mine in. I got the Fedex notification it was coming 2 days ago. Tracking the package, it should be here by the end of the day.

I got it back. It was gone for over 2 months. I haven't shot it but this was interesting, they also replaced the guide rod/recoil spring.

I have shot the gun several times over the past 6 months, and it has run perfectly. There has not been a single malfunction, and I have poked, pushed, and tried to make the ejector move and it is rock solid in there.

Just curious if you can rotate it forward and down into the magazine well for when you remove the slide?
That is supposed to be a normal movement for the ejector.
