They still show as in stock as of 10pm Eastern Friday 7-16-2010.
They WILL sell out at this price however. I'll post pics of mine when it shows up in a week or so.

I will too but are we going to morph this into the "Bud's Pic Thread" or are you going to start a new one?

When I checked the 4553TSWs were gone from the police site but both sites still listed the standard 4586. 4586TSW was still on the police site as well.
 
Thanks for the heads up, I've got one on the way. This is my first transaction with Bud's and so far so good. I placed my order around 9:00am Friday and it was shipped before 4:00pm.

Hate to tell this story BUT. I just got home from Buds a little bit ago. I purchased one of these guns. Got one with Hogue grips and my son and I shot 1 box of shells out of the gun. Put all 50 on the target. found out sights are a little off but still shoots awesome. They still had plenty when we were there this morning at 9:30am. Awesome price for an awesome gun.

Sorry for askin', but which gun are you talking about?
 
The S & W 4586. The one that was on sale for $259.00. Looks a little beat up BUT I would say 80-90%. Son loves it. I love it now to clean the puppy.
 
I just ordered mine. Can't pass up a quality 45 for $259. Do any of you guys have pictures of the ones you got from this deal?

How does a 4585 compair in size and weight to a full size 1911? This should make a great gun to throw in the center consol of the truck and camping/fishing.
 
Weird.

My tracking # this afternoon said it was in G-boro, and expected delivery date was Monday (7-19).

Now it says "billing information received".
This sounds like what it would say before the item would even be picked up.
I would have thought that if it had been delivered, it would say "delivered".

Anyone with a little more familiarity with UPS know what this means?
I'm confused...:confused:

I was in Bud's yesterday as well, and picked up 2 4553TSW's. I hand picked these 2 and both are in 90%, but others that were left were a little rougher. I am very happy with my 2, but haven't shot them yet.

Buds was crazy yesterday. There had to be 50 people in there when I was there around 1pm. The S&W's were being heavily looked at and going fast.

Clydes here in Athens GA has double action only smith 45 police trade ins for $ 439 and UP! Bud's kicks ***.
 
Ordered one too, my 2 cents worth...one of the finest pistols I've ever been issued and shot was a SW 1076 issued to us in the FBI in the early '90s. The weapon was flawless and I had to turn it in around 2000 for one of these goofy Glocks. If the 4585 is half the weapon the 1076's were, we got a steal. Wonder where we can get some spare mags for 'em???
 
It looked like a deal to me too, so I ordered one yesterday. From what I've read, it's almost exactly the same size as my P220 [but heavier] with NS's that I keep in my nightstand. If the NS on the 4586 work, I have a pistol for the other nightstand.

Has anyone received one yet? I just wondered how they looked.

My 4586TSW and 4553TSW should be at my dealer's tomorrow, I hope they're as nice as yours but won't be holding my breath.
