Actually if I won a big lotto payout I would be over in Washington cruising the boat yards and marinas. Lot more get away from it all in a fair sized boat. A 12ft wide 38 fter has more room than most RVs and it you go up to the 50 ft range ya really get room. A 58' with a couple of 3208s will cruise at 10-12 knots and about 10 gal per hour. But, anchored up in some nice little cove while you catch crabs, prawns, cod and halibut, you only have to run a small gen set from time to time. Especially if you stick a few solar panels on top the wheel house.

In Oklahoma one of the most popular vehicles I see are Jeep Wranglers that are all tricked out for extreme off-roading. Many of them have big wheels, lifted, and have snorkels and you can see underneath and they are immaculate clean and the paint looks like they have never been taken off road. I think the image of having "a go anywhere" vehicle seems great in the mind and people picture themselves driving up the top of a mountain or through a jungle but in reality that rarely happens. My Ram pickup will take me anywhere I need to go and much further for hunting, fishing, and exploring but I don't push the envelope. I don't want to beat it all up on rocks, brush, and tree limbs or flood it going through a creek that's a little too deep.

When I am out riding the countryside on my BMW motorrad, I pass country stores with many Harley-Davidsons parked outside. The fine gentlemen showing off their fine leather accoutrements.
