Be careful keeping the gun in its box. They have a tendency to rust on the side touching the liner in the box. You can put it up a little on toothpicks so it doesn't touch the liner.

Fvernic, the CT State Police 75th anniversary edition S&W model 39-2 is a wonderful remembrance gift. IIRC, only 700 commemoratives were produced, so you might consider getting a documentation letter to keep with your presentation box.

That’s a great idea, I was actually looking at that on the SWCA website recently. Thank you for the heads up.
