Those guns you always wanted

Any of Doc44's one of a kind 29s - just kidding Doc, but I can't help lusting after those beautiful guns. On a serious note, I have always thought the Ruger #1 rifles are beautiful but the right deal on one has never come up.

I'd like a factory engraved 99 Savage, a big double rifle, and a Registered Magnum. Luckily, common sense has stood in the way of me aquiring anything with such an astronomical price.:)......So far.........

Non S&W- English side lock double, H&H, Rigby, Jeffery, Gibbs, Westley Richards, any of them, in .450-.577 (prefer BP). Winchester Model 42 Field, and a Lewis Gun.
S&W- Model 35 or pre 35, 1905 .38spl target, pre 27.
As you can see my taste in revolvers runs waaay cheaper than the others.

Two guns I have always wanted. They are as different as night and day.

1. A flintlock Pennsylvania rifle, because it was the start of the great tradition of American rifles.

2. A Russian Bizon submachinegun, because it is different.

For an old country boy I have aquired most of the guns I have desired. Some of them I let go because I found they weren't my cup of tea afterall. I sold an excellent model 58 a couple years ago. Big old chunk of metal that wouldn't hit anywhere close to where it was looking. I'm more of a shooter than collector. I might get flamed for that remark, but that revolver just didn't speak to me.

I'd still like to have a round-butt model 19 w/four inch bbl, tgt H and T and some of the red and white sights. A reg. magnum would be one I could be happy just looking at. I have always wanted a nicely engraved revolver, a S&W of coarse. I've got a good candidate in the form of a ANIB 27-2, 3 1/2" that I've thought about sending to D'Angelo.

Some others I've wanted that aren't S&W are a Winchester model 63 semi-auto .22. I got the model 52B Target rifle that was at the top of my list for so long. Now if I could just add that pre-64 model 70 in 257 Bob or 250-3000. Those two will probably forever be beyond my reach. Next up would be a C grade AH Fox in 20 guage. Probably out of reach also. I think my wife probably thinks I have enough guns and knives and would prefer yall didn't get me thinking about the ones I still want!

1928 Thompson SMG
6.5" Blued, fixed sight, Triple Lock in 44 spec.
Browning BAR (the 1918 model, not the new one!)
British made big bore double rifle...500 3" ideally, as we have some pretty aggressive squirrels around my neighborhood and I want to be able to handle a charge by a rogue bull squirrel!

Browning .22 Auto in .22 Short (had one and needed the dough (sigh)).

92 D Beretta Type M (can't afford one).

Beretta 98 F (same as 92SBC Compact Type M in .30 Luger). I have never seen one. Would be easy, I guess, to get .30 Luger barrel for my 92 SBC Type M.

.22 conversion kit for the Beretta Type M.

High Standard Olympic.

Factory nickel Model 17 Smith & Wesson.

Whatever Photohause has posted lately.

Lee doesn't have enough bandwidth. And other members don't have enough patience. But suffice to say, LOT'S of them are S&W.

+1.

A short list would be... let's see...

A Safety Hammerless with the 1 1/2" barrel.
A Model 58 with LE markings.
A Centennial with LE markings. (Was there ever any?)
A blued Model 3 with a lanyard ring.

An M1895 Lee Navy-have never seen one, just a rather battered Sporting
Model.
