Are you getting your local Fox channel? I haven't for about 6 weeks. There is a big corp that owns many local Fox stations that hasn't come to an agreement with Dish. About the only Fox thing I watch is Nascar and the races are on NBC for the rest of this year. If They don't come to an agreement by February I'll go back to Direct TV. There's no cable available where I live.

I was a dish customer for many years and a year ago switched to direct. I have regretted it ever since. I just dislike almost everything direct. They rave about their customer service but my experiences are far from good. I now bundle with uverse att so that helps some.

The dispute is with Tribune Broadcasting. They own the FOX affiliate here in Milwaukee. I won't care if they settle until such time as it interferes with me getting GB Packer games on DishNet.

Dish's beef is that Tribune Broadcasting wants a supposedly huge increase in the fee it receives for allowing Dish to rebroadcast their programing. Dish supposedly is not opposed to a reasonable fee but doesn't fee it's right for Tribune to "gouge" for programing which non-subscribers to pay television gets for free.

Personally, I agree with DISH on some levels but that also is tempered by the fact that DISH is paid by it's subscribers for this programing. Anyway, it's my understanding that DISH will provide subscribers with a free digital antenna to those who are not getting the Tribune programming they are paying for. However, that is of little value to those subscribers who live in very rural areas.

Same deal here in Kansas City. Missed the baseball All Star game! I do not like Direct. My brother and son both have Direct and I do not like the menu scheme at all.

However, I have a feeling that the baseball playoffs and World Series will be on Fox, if so I will be most displeased if Dish has not come to terms by then.
I did not know the issue was this widespread.

we were getting channel 4 WDAF out of KC, FOX.. but aren't getting any FOX now at all. To the best of my knowledge they haven't offered us the free antenna....

this comes up here from time to time. It always gets resolved, as it is in the party's interests.

They offered me the antenna but I don't think I can get it anyway. I have a antenna with a booster on my camper and can't get the Fox station. I forgot about the Lions being on Fox but they aren't worth watching anyway. A couple years ago Dish had the same thing with the NBC station. I didn't even know it until about the time it was resolved. I guess I didn't get that station for a couple of months.
