We went on vacation this year to Washington, Antietam and Gettysburg earlier this year with my BIL and his wife, who are more like friends than relatives, to us. Barry has cancer under his tongue and Brenda has a suspicious mammogram that needs to be biopsied. The good news is that Barry's is a very treatable form and we're thinking that they both have caught this early, but the next few weeks they'll be consulting about the next steps. What is worrisome is the Brenda lost her sister to breast cancer.
They are about to come up on their 50 year wedding anniversary. So please remember them that their ordeal will be light.
