I am debating getting a shield in .40. Does anyone have any insight for me? The reviews seem pretty good, but I would like some first hand info. I am mainly concerned about reliability. Thanks in advance! :)

My bud and I took his 40 shield to the USMC indoor range here in Norfolk and I was quite impressed with it, we shot a few different kinds of ammo including tulammo and had no problems and the groups were pretty good. A good time at the range shooting the 40 left everyone feeling good...

Shield in 40

I just ordered one and it will be shipped to my dealer next week. I paid way too much but this is a gun that I feel will serve a purpose very well.
I will post a review after I shoot it.
Based on the many reviews of both the 9mm and the 40, I decided to take the plunge.

I got a 9mm Shield for my wife and was at the range doing some shooting with it when a guy asked me what I was shooting and I told him the Sheild 9. He goes and tells me he has the .40. So we traded for mag and both of us were amazed because we really couldn't distinguish much difference in the recoil. So, that made me want to get a .40 when I can (which will probably be a while before I have the extra cash to do so).

Pardon my ignorance ,but do they make the Shield, without the safety? I would imagine not?

Safety is on all of the Shield models. Probably helps sell in CA. I kinda like the option. When I carry, it's always off. If on the nightstand or sitting by the safe, I can click it on.
