I'm picking this beauty up in a week or two. I think it's the nicest model ten variant I've seen.

I've placed bids on a half dozen model 10's tonight on gunbroker trying to steal one. However, none were 3" and none looked as nice as yours. Congrats!

I thought that Canada required a 4.2-inch bbl. Was this a collector's loophole, or what?

I have a 3" Model 10-8 HB, round butt, just like the one pictured. Shoots and handles like a dream. I'm sure you'll love it. Congratulations.

My brother in law has one that looks just like that...cant get him to sell it to me. Nice find

4" to 3"

I always thought the 3" Smith would balance the best and still be able to be carried concealed easily. So I made my own from a 4" model 10-10.

Sorry I'm late responding. Yes since 1995 barrels under 105mm are prohibited. However, if you owned at least one "prohib" and retained ownership of one without a gap, we lucky few can buy and sell what's left between each other.
And yes this is a form of confiscation!

re:3" Model 10

I found this 64 3" online last fall for $300....second one I have owned...first one got away....looking for a big brother 65 3" to mate up with it

Nicely done. The 3" k in .38 is my ideal "all around" revo. I don't really enjoy shooting mags in k frames (that's what the 686 is for to me), plenty of effective .38 loads available to fulfill a self defense role & just plain fun with standard/target loads (I really like the 130gr. fmj).

I'd love to get a nice 3" 64 for my birthday in October, saving now so I can look in earnest then.

Enjoy, hope the wait goes quickly.

I pick up my "Buds" special Model 10 from FFL tomorrow. It's kind of like a grab bag thing because you don't know exactly what your going to get... except it's a model 10-x!! Very nice example.

There is a dealer up here with a NIB Model 65 3" but I don't think you'd be allowed to import it unfortunately.
