Thumbpiece Nut Source

Someone buggered the thumbpiece nut on the new to me Model 60. Anyone know where I can get one that 1) Doesn't come with a thumbpiece (don't need it) and 2) Doesn't charge $10 for shipping of a tiny part?

Ends up costing $11 with tax. Thinking it's not worth it. I think I will try to clean up the buggered one first, nothing to lose right?

Peen it first....prior to filing.

Does peening move the flap of the material where it's peeled back from the nut, back into the proper place?

Yes sir....it does. (If done correctly) Then all you need is a bit of clean up with some wet/dry fine grade paper.

Use a bit of caution though. The interior of the nut is hollow, with little support on top.
