Thumler Tumblers: Great Customer Service

About 20 years ago, I bought a used Thumler Tumbler. After 10 years of heavy use, the motor burned out. Thumler's office is not far from my house, so I drove over and they put in a new motor while I waited. I don't remember what it cost, but I do remember that it wasn't much.

A few weeks ago, after another 10 years of heavy use, that motor burned out. I drove back over there and they did the same thing. Cost this time was $40.05. The work took all of ten minutes, and they even apologized for the delay!

If anyone is in the market for a tumbler, I'd strongly recommend that you consider a Thumler. Their products are solid and the folks who build them are good as gold.

I bought mine when there was no such thing as a vibratory tumbler available. Used it up after 15 years. Put a lot of brass through that old rotary tumbler . . . .

Mine is a vibratory model. They still make the rotary ones, though.

I've had my "Thumbler's Tumbler" since 1974 and it's still going strong. Quiet too, unlike those vibrating contraptions.

I have one from the 70s. I had quit reloading for quite awhile. About a month ago I got it out but the belt had streched and wouldnt turn the tumbler. Got ahold of the factory and got good cheap service. They also sent me a new bushing etc.

Merril, when my Thumbler's belt gave out I went to the Caterpillar heavy equipment dealer's parts shop in my area and just bought several big "O" rings of appropriate size and they worked just fine for years.

+1 I've been using one since the 60's, and it has been totally reliable. The drive belts are the only parts that wear out, and they are cheap. Those things were originally designed as rock tumblers, and they are run for weeks, not hours, in that role. They last a long, long time. Also they are much quieter than the vibratory style brass polishers.

I bought an UltraVibe 45 used about 6 years ago. I've used it heavily since then, and it's been great.

I wouldn't hesitate buying another.
