Well it's got no pin, no recessed cylinders, that bling on the side I could do without and it does have the dreaded lock, but other than that it seems to be a decent gun. I don't get to see many 44 Specials.

I bought a box of Remington RNL ammo (all the shop had). I gotta get the stuff to reload this one for sure.

Nice gun! Now all you need is a serious carry holster! A Milt Sparks PMK would be perfect...

CajunBass, you have scored one of the best shooting .44 Special revolvers! You'll never notice the "hole and bling" after you put some lead down range.

You are right about needing to reload .44 Special, but it is an easy caliber to load. Brass can be a little tough to find. Order 1000 rounds from Starline and be set for many years.

By the way-did you get the silly glass lid display case with your TR 21-4?

My dealer had 44 special brass in stock. I plan to pickup a couple hundred rounds at least.

No display case, box or papers. And no key. I don't know what I'll do when it locks itself during the middle of a gunfight. ;)

Silvertips

I use silvertips in mine, shoots to point of aim. I have become a big fan of Kramer Holsters.
I have two Model 21's. One with the logo and one without the logo. Good shooters.

GET RID OF THAT LOCK ! ! ! Our fellow forum member, Bullseye Smith, makes a great plug. Look it up in the Vendor section of this forum......

The model 21-4s are nice guns. I bought one during a clearance sale and have very pleased with it. Congrats.Notice the height of the front sight on the 22-4. I had to shorten it to get POA right.
Here is mine with a model 22-4. I like the classics and the lock doesn't bother me at all.

I also have both "Classic" Models 21-4 and 22-4. Once I got over the IL's, I really got to like them. I reload for both, and they're a ball to shoot.

They're both sporting Ahrends.

Got mine off a Bud's closeout sale. Action is slick. Had trouble getting it to shoot to POA. A better front sight helped a lot:

Congratulations!!! You're going to love that one.

Mine is my "fun" gun. When I don't feel like training with my carry gun or being as serious as a heart attack about my marksmanship, I break out the TR21 and just have a good time. Not a better way to relax on the range for me.

Cajunbass. Welcome to the 21-4 club! I love the grain on your stocks.
Mine shoots to POA with factory 240-246gr loads. And about 1.5" lower with 200gr Gold Dots.
The handload I use is 5.5grs of W231 and a 240gr LSWC. Same POI/POA. And the empties fall out.

Congrats on finding a nice 21-4. They are fun to shoot and very accurate. Mine shoots to point of aim and just about feels perfect. You should enjoy it! I wouldn't worry about the lock, of all the lock models I own none have ever had a single problem in that area. The lock looks ridiculous, but you don't see it when you're shooting anyways..... :)

I just scored the 22-4 TR on the classifieds section. I'm in a 45acp revolver kick right now! Nice looking pistol!
