I assume people are aware of the threat of violent acts to our schools that have gone out over TikTok the past few days

Today, parents across the country will fear TikTok enough to not send their kids to school- but don’t fear TikTok enough to take it off their kids’ phones.

Maybe they should start there.

Same as the chain letters and emails we used to get from our relatives. I wasn't murdered for responding to a car flashing headlights and never bit into a razor blade in candy, and doesn't seem to be anything credible to this one either.

That said, I suppose with the high profile of school violence over the last few decades it'd be a tough call for a school to ignore the calls and emails they're getting.

TikTok, a tool for fools. Today is officially my last day as a school teacher. I have never spent a minute fearing for my safety. You are more likely to be struck by lightning than killed in a school shooting.
I won't miss it.
The School district motto: "You suck and we hate you."
The parents; "My child is not achieving their potential because the teacher is not teaching them correctly." Absent 40% of available days, turns in no work, head down on desk when attending, spends 94 seconds on EOC exam.
The students; "Why should I learn that, I'm never going to need that in my life." Hmmm, how do you know how much concrete to order if you can't figure length x width X thickness when pouring a floor? I'd be banned immediately if I related some of the language.
The faculty; "I'm so busy and I work until 9pm 7 days a week. I wish everybody worked as hard as I do."
IT; "Put in a work order and it'll get taken care of."
Politicians: "We need more money for schools."

Yep, credible or not, my spidey sense was in enhanced mode too. I usually give no credence to anything like this but for some reason I did this time. You never know when some crazy will use this as an excuse to shoot up a place crowded with shoppers. Carried an extra mag with the MP9 while grocery shopping. Situational awareness was also at enhanced mode. Better safe than sorry.

I actually like TicTok.

Even thou the only time I watch it is during bathroom activities, and when I'd sit out in the garage while my cat "RIP" was eating.

Several school districts in our area closed today because of Tik Tok. My daughter and her husband work in a district that didn't close. There was a police officer parked out front all day. An officer walked through the halls when school was ending . Her little pre schoolers were nervous when they saw her but my daughter told them she was a friend visiting and they should wave at her . The officer loved it.

Chances are very good that these disruptive posts are actually being posted by entities of Tik Tok. It is my understanding that Tik Tok is owned by a front company of the People's Republic of China's People's Liberation Army. Consider that these posts are merely suggestive seeds for the easily led with minimal human compassion and morals to pick up on and follow through with the threats!

It's even more insidious than that. A lot of social media posts are actually the work of Russian trolls pretending to be Americans. Their goal is to disrupt our society, and create discord and discontent. Sometimes they will take opposite sides on the same issue just to keep the pot boiling.

I wonder how many people who reflexively share something they see, because it conforms to their beliefs or preconceived notions, realize they're doing Vladimir's work for him?
