Tim Bachman of BTO dead at 71

Tim Bachman's son, Paxton Bachman, posted on Facebook that his father died Friday, explaining that he got a call last week from the care home where his father was staying, telling him that his dad's condition had worsened and that later tests revealed cancer throughout his brain.

Sad to hear. I wouldn't call myself a BTO fan but I do like some of their songs. My good friend and hunting buddy lives in Ft Erie Ontario. Whenever a BTO song comes on radio the Canuck jokes immediately start flying.

The Guess Who and Bachman Turner Overdrive were very different, but both hold their own special places in my youth.
