I sent a request for S&W History Authentication in early April and my check was cashed on April 10 2013.
My question, is it time to contact S&W since it has been 71 days.
I would like to have others share their experience with a letter requested for time to receive it.

Thank you

Thanks

Thank you
With your information my request should be getting near the front of the line.

Time varies depending on how busy Mr. Jinks is. S&W sometimes sends him places, he takes vacation, and right now he's at the S&W Collector's Association meeting in Kansas City, KS.
Times can run from a month or so to several months.
I've rarely heard of S&W "losing" a history request.

I lettered my 64-1 and it took a hair over 3 months. Patience, it will be along.

Smith and Wesson is much better with both the timing of their response and information they provide. My Colt letter took almost five months, cost $75.00 and told me next to nothing about the details of the gun. I now know for sure when it was made and where it was shipped. The Smith and Wesson information is worth the wait.
