Time to free float

I've finally decided to free float my M&P10. I like the Midwest Industries SS series hand guards. I want to see a lot of barrel but will the 9" or 10" be too short?

I bought the 12" KeyMod tube from Midwest. It's a great length for an 18" barreled rifle, and I can't imagine 10" would be a bad thing, and should probably still cover the gas block. (I'd check with Midwest though.)

I will be using a rifle length carbon fiber free float tube. It means the gas block will need to be replaced but I think it will be worth it

I was wrong. They don't make a 10" for the 308 so I ordered a 12".

You'll love it. It's a great product. I couldn't believe how light weight it was. Looks great, too.

I would have it on my rifle now except for the pita factory gas block roll pin. My lgs ordered a new gas tube for the YHM low profile gas block I'm putting on. I'll update when it's done.
