Timney Trigger Install

Ever since I installed the Timney, I have had at least one, and usually more FTF per magazine. I assume it was a light strike as I could see where the rim had been stuck. I was using CCI Mini-Mag Choot Em plus CCI Standard Velocity.

So I found the CMC trigger, that I originally wanted, and installed it & tested this afternoon. Shot 500 rounds of various types with no failures at all.

Has anyone else had issues with the Timney in a 15-22? The trigger feels the same as my CMC, which is very nice.

I ordered for my S&W AR15-22 the Timney 667S 3lb trigger and found I also had numerous FTF's. Contacted Timney and was informed they had several issues with the 3lb trigger not generating enough force to consistently fire the rounds. They said the 4 lb trigger would work fine. Sent the 3 lb back and just received the new 4 lb. Will install and see how it works.

For what it's worth, I put a 3#'r into my 15-22

Had an issue with fit because the shim was just a bit too thick, grabbed some Emory paper and went to town. Got it to fit really well.
I do experience light strikes that cause a FTF every now and then but I usually chalked that up to ammo since I'm usually ok with Minimag. More FTF with bulk federal.

I feel like you have to torque the **** out of the set screw to really get it seated properly and function without issue.

You guys have me thinking about getting a 4 pound now. Maybe I'll throw the 3 pound in my 5.56

Same issue with the slim, after 45 minutes of using a file, got the trigger assembly to line up for the two pins. I'll place a post after I take the 15-22 to the range.
