Tips for removing hand spring pin?

I'm changing out the hand on a Model 10-10, a PD trade in "beater" and I have the new hand, but it has no spring pin.

I need to take the old little pin out of the old hand, but it is proving difficult......any tips on how to do this easily? Or should I just order a few new ones and save myself the headache?

I assume putting them in is easy, I have a plastic punch I can just ease it in with.

I have never seen a hand that didn't have the pin made into it??
But I have seen the floating style hand & maybe that's what you have??
Can you get a pic of the hand??
