OK, I made the rookie mistake of letting the hand come off the tirgger. As you probably know, the torsion spring is not easy to get back in place!
On most of the videos I've seen, the J-frame torsion spring has a short leg and a long leg and both are straight. With mine, the long leg has a nearly 90 degree bend. On most parts diagrams, both legs look straight. However, I have seen both styles for sale.
Which is correct for a 642? If it's the straight one, I won't waste any more time trying to get mine back together!
