Tire Time - Discount Tire - Input Requested

I use only Discount Tire for my tire purchasing needs. Our local store has great service and is so popular there's always a bunch of people there. Last time, I could barely get in the parking lot because of all the cars waiting in line for free air.

If you order and pay for your tires on line, you get the exact tires you want, and you get to go to the head of the line for installation at the store. The store will notify you when they come in -- usually 24-48 hours. In my case, I saved at least two hours of waiting time in the very busy store.

As to the tires themselves, I suggest checking out the ratings at tirerack.com. You get ratings from consumers and from Tire Rack's own tests. Have fun!

Discount Tires is good to do business with here and also very handy to get to.

Do you mean trucks like semi trucks or ??? Because I just looked online and they sell tires for Ford trucks up to the F-650.
I use 245/70R19.5's on my Dodge...I bought my first set of six, Michelin together with Rickson wheels from Discount Tire many years ago...I was very pleased with the price and the service I got from them...However when I needed to replace them again, the company was no longer selling nor servicing commercial truck tires due to a death they had at one of their other stores when an employee failed to use a safety cage when inflating a new installation...

I thought losing the commercial business was overreaction when more safety training would have been a better answer...But it was their call...If they are back in the commercial truck business, I'll give them a try next time I need some...I still buy from them for my passenger car tires...

Currently I'm using Chinese manufactured Roadlux 245/70R19.5 in Load Range H...I took a huge chance with them from Amazon four years ago because they had almost no history at that time...They ride glass smooth comparable with Michelin, but they far outlast the Michelin...I currently have 40K miles on them with no wear problems, and only one reparable puncture...I fully expect 80K miles before I need to replace them......Ben

Goodyear OEM…...as us C6 owners affectionately called them, run craps.

Most GM cars I ever bought were ordered with a towing package, and came with premium Goodyears. THAT is what convinced me to switch to Goodyears when I bought my own.

The worst tires back in the day were Uniroyal and Goodrich. Bought some Dunlops when they were still a company and they weren't much better. The absolute worst were Coopers.

Only had one set of Michelin oems. They were "OK", but when they wore out and I switched to a set of Assurance, I couldn't believe the car ran that much better.

My last set of OEMs were Hancook on a Lincoln, and they tied for second worst.

I use them exclusively since I moved to the states. They have never done me wrong, always tried to help out and have the best prices.

They price match should you find the same item for less $ somewhere else, they offer tire certificates (one-time payment) which will allow you to get a new tire should the current one be damaged in any way (holes, bubbles, etc), and they offer lifetime rotating/balancing when you buy new tires (cost me $100 for the RAM), and there's no schedule.

I use Discount Tire for all my tire needs.
A few Summers ago I needed to repair a tire on my JD garden tractor, all I needed was a tube but those tires are almost impossible to work on so I brought it to DT. When I went to pick it up, the manager said "No charge". He used it as a learning tool as none of his employees had ever seen an inner tube and didn't have a clue how to install it. He said it was funny how amazed they were.
Had a little garden trailer that had a flat. It had a tube in it. I took it into the Firestone store and they wouldn't have anything to do with it. I told the service man when I was leaving that their sign that said Complete tire service was a lie. As that was the third time I had less than a good experience with Firestone I will never again have anything to do with them. Have heard good things about Discount tire.

If those are run- flats (Many 18" equipped Siennas came with 18" wheels/run flats) and you got 50k out of them..congratulations! Most don't go 30k miles. Id stick with what works.

Thanks all! The All Wheel Drive Siennas have the run flat as they don't have a spare underneath due to AWD. My wife's is a front wheel drive and has a spare. Great Mini-Van. Hers is a 2015 and has a 3.5 V6. The 3.5 V-6 Toyota engine is a good, smooth, power plant. Have it in my 2016 Camry. All new Sienna are Hybrids like most larger vehicles.

Discount Tire is fairly new to Boise Idaho and I am now a happy customer of Discount Tire. I can't help you those tires but they do have the best price on tires in my area.

Over 71K on a set of Michelins on my truck.
Have a quote from Discount Tire that seems reasonable and is in line or a little lower than others.
I'll stop by directly and give them the go ahead.

I was a recent first time Discount Tire customer... I walked in, said "I need 6 of these"... they said "ok, we will order them from the factory.. should be here in 8 days"... they were there in 5 days.. and were literally made the week before.. and they are "performance race street tires" (200TW 245/40 ZR 17).
I will be taking advantage of the free tire rotation once the warm weather gets here... oh please, I hope that the warm & dry gets here soon...

I have used Discount Tire (not exclusively) for years. I have learned to remove my own center caps as the shop gorillas don't usually put much effort into realigning them, resulting in broken tabs (Audi). This was during switching from Summer to Winter tires, a no charge service. No other issues.

I have been getting my tires from Discount Tire for the last 20 years. I have been very pleased with their products and service.

I get Michelin Defender style tires for pick-ups and SUVs. They get great wear life and seem to roll quieter than the original equipment tires I replaced.

I always get the "certificate" for free rotation/balance and road hazard replacement.

New tires on my Nissan Titan 4X4 truck last year. 265-70-18 size, not inexpensive. Local Discount Tire store called me when there was a promotion sale on Michelin ($70 off per tire, so $280 off the set of 4), when I went in the employee noticed my Purple Heart license plates and applied a 10% veteran discount and entered that on their computer so it is now automatic for us.

Followed my usual practice and took the truck with new tires in to my favorite alignment shop, make sure that everything is optimal. Best tires in the world won't provide long life and good performance unless the vehicle is correctly maintained.

Michelin Defender XLS replaced the factory Toyo tires. Going in to Discount Tire tomorrow for free rotation, which includes tread wear analysis (optical scanner) and re-balancing. Usually in and out in about 30 minutes.

Very satisfied with quality and service.

I had a set of Toyo AT3's installed on my 4Runner at Discount Tire a year ago and they were great. Good price, in and out in under an hour.

Gave me a greatly reduced price on the warranty certificates for replacements if needed.

I have nothing but good things to say about the experience.

ETA: The tires were minty fresh. Literally a few weeks from the date of manufacture...and from the USA plant in GA.

I have used Discount Tire exclusively.
They have always provided good service and they match prices.
I went to Costco for a price and Discount Tire went a few dollars cheaper.
Very Pleased...
