Tisas GI Review

These new GI models have all milled steel internals and no MIM. They are machined after hardening parts. Some custom gunsmiths have built off these and claim the quality is extremely good, the value on these is out of this world.

The new variant I bought was made with customer input to make an even closer GI spec model. They are listening to their customers which is always great to see.

Fur Fins and Feathers in OH have the GI model in sale for $349 till the end of September. I know they are made in Turkey, but how can something this good be made half a planet away, shipped to the US, go through a distributor, to a retail outlet and still be this cheap.

State of the art CNC manufacturing of a proven design in a country with lower labor costs, not that there's much labor involved once you go CNC.

I had a Rock Island and a Iver Johnson 1911 and they were excellent. When I saw a Springfield 1911 Mil Spec for sale cheap I bought it and sold the other two. I like the big sights on the Springer but if I ever see a Tisas for under $350 I'll grab it.
