I am looking at one and I tend to be a bit skeptical when I read or watch a review or video, but, I did watch the Hickok45 review & read many reviews on the company & pistol. But all seem to reflect a good value & support & being well made.

Turkish 1911 clone sold through Bud's Gun Shop. I don't have any experience with them but from what I've read some folks are quite pleased with them. Personally, I don't buy the least expensive versions of certain items, firearms being one of them. To meet the low price point, concessions are being made, might be in the quality of materials and components, lack of fitting and finish work, less skilled workers, or some combination of those factors. I'd rather buy a higher quality used gun made by a better known manufacturer at close to the same price.

TISAS is a Turkish firearms manufacturer that has been around a couple decades and enjoys a good reputation for decent firearms.

They introduced their 1911 some time in the last couple years; it's a blue-collar offering designed to compete with the RIA, Auto-Ordinance, etc. crowd. It gets "good enough" reviews.

A TISAS 1911 will likely serve basic shooting needs fine, but if I were in the market for a budget 1911, I'd look to RIA -- the costs are comparable for similar offerings, RIA has an impressive reputation for reliability and accuracy given their price point, and an excellent U.S.-based warranty and service program if something goes wrong.

TISAS is the most affordable 1911 out there. Hickok45 does put it through its paces. I think using ball ammo it's the perfect truck gun.

I had a tisas m1911a1 but sold it to fund another gun. I really liked mine and I regret selling it. Tisas guns are built to NATO specs. I have an RIA GI 9mm pistol now. Honestly I like the tisas better. I thought my Tisas had a better trigger from the factory and was slightly better quality (if you compared GI models to each other). Right now buds has their enhanced model for 180 day layaway. I'm heavily considering getting one, even though I don't care for rails on my 1911s.
