What are you supposed to use to clean a Ti cylinder, both the chambers and the exterior. Just wondered if there were any prohibitions on particular cleaning solvents, or any specifically preferred for this endeavor. Thanks for your input.

Adios,

I have been using MPRO 7 for all my cleaning needs. I have had a few Ti Cylinder guns and never had a problem. The military and many law enforcement agencies use MPRO 7 for their guns and endorse the product. I would go to MPRO 7 web site and get the latest info on their products.

I use hoppes #9 for my titanium cylinders and it works great. After the hoppes I use CLP to wipe it down and to remove the solvent.

The only major consideration is to avoid scrubbing the front of the cylinder face. Burn rings and the like are cosmetic, and do not effect the performance of the revolver. If you scrub the front of the cylinder face and wear away the finish the titanium metal will erode and even burn during firing. I wipe the exterior of my titanium cylinders with a cotton cloth and CLP. I have yet to destroy a titanium cylinder...

I thought the Ti had a clearcoat on it so I would not use chemical solvents. I think MPro is a good idea.
