I have very small hands; so I wonder if, even with the smallest grip, is the slide release close enough to be manipulated without changing your grip? Thanks.

I'm guessing that you are talking about the M&P? Anyway I own several different guns as well as M&Ps' and I can't hit the slide release on any of them without changing grip. I know very few who can, it's much easier to use with the off hand as you insert the new mag.

Yup I have some what large hands and I have never shot a gun that I could reach the slide stop without changing grips. I also agree with handgunner, I find it much easier to hit it with my left hand after reloading.

I have both a 915 and a 5903. I'm a lefty, I hit the slide release with my trigger finger, then back into trigger guard.

I have never been able to reach any slide release button on any gun.
I do allright with my off hand though.

I can hit the slide stop on both of my guns without changing my grip. At first I thought maybe I was mistaken as to what you are talking about, but if you mean hitting the slide stop button after inserting a new magazine, I can do it on my Sigma and my Kahr.

Am I misunderstanding the question?

I can do it on my Sigma as well. It's also no problem on the Bersa Thunder .380 or the Taurus PT111 Millenium Pro. The Glock, on the other hand, requires me to change positions slightly due to the much smaller slide release lever.

I am also one of the few people in my Right mind,a lefty.I use the same technique as EvelMe for accomplishing this task try it........Mike
