I got some Magpul stuff in last night so I swapped out the LMT SOPMOD with a Magpul ACS. I also took the verticle front tac grip and replaced it with the Magpul AFG. I had previously added an LMT pistol grip. Fired another 250rds with a mix of ammo and I have to say I really like the AFG. It allows me to use a thumb over rail grip that really tightens the rifle to my shoulder. The ACS also felt nice and might just stay on the rifle for awhile. I shot a mixture of 22s so I could burn up some of the cat and dog stuff. I noted that the cheaper ammo was throwing sparks as it ejected, so it must not be burning completely before ejecting. I also noted that the magazine was getting gunked up and contributed to some FTF (I had fired 750 rds thought this mag without cleaning it to see what would happen). I also fired some Remington subsonic - no hitches at all. It cycled the rifle perfectly with no feed issues. I also stagger laoded the subsonic with CCI, one sub, one CCI, one sub, once CCI, etc. Again, no issues and the weapon functioned flawlessly. I have to say this is a neat little gun! Wife also gave me some grief about buying it, but I told her, with 750rds through it now, by shooting 22 over 5.56, it's almost paid for itself! I'm headed to the gun show in Richmond tomorrow, so who knows what will be added, maybe a decent sling. :D Rifle as configured for today.
