That is a cool looking sixgun bud.
I wish that old Schofield would have used the Russian's grip style for his revolver. It fits my gorilla hands much better. I like his other enhancements better though. Like the frame mounted latch and such.
It would seem that reloads, at least in an 1875 era way, would be much faster in it than in the Russian. With some practice I think it could be opened against an object, your leg or whatever, and the empties dumped. Not so with the barrel mounted release.
The Schofield round is shorter like the 45AR. The carbon ring will hamper you if you ever go to the Colt cartridge again but nothing that can't be cleaned out.
