Trade my pc 9 shield for a pc 40 shield?

I'm with the majority on this one. I've had several .40 cal pistols and didn't much care for any of them. This caliber has a weird, sharp recoil for some reason and the additional cost for ammo just isn't worth it, in my opinion. I'd go .45 before I'd go .40.

I have a Shield 9 and I love it.

You stoke your 9mm pistols with P+ loads to power up to the 40 and in essence bring the recoil, and power up to or closer to the .40, then claim you have better control. Another fact is, the 40 has a bigger hole going in and coming out with more weight.

Not only that, but people with the 40 can always buy some lighter reloads if they plan on going on a 500 round range binge to reduce recoil. In the Shield's case, I really see no benefit in buying the 9 over the 40 that isn't purely opinion. Also, if you happen to come across a 9mm Shield barrel it drops right into the 40, but not the other way around. If you're having buyer's remorse over not choosing the 40 then go for it.

I would trade for sure but I cant find a barrel.
