Neat rifle...I can appreciate the work and effort that went into this carving but is too much for me. You do have a one of a kind. Congrats.

As I started to read I was thinkin why so much extra cash...

I like the rossi carbines and want one myself. I have a couple model tens I would trade ta get one... although I can scratch it up myself

eventually

I am a wood carver my self, and I collect and shoot Winchesters. The carvings are very good. But.....I feel the carvings a way too elaborate for the gun, almost gaudy. but that is me.

If you like it that is all that matters.

Nice rifle and great chambering. Can take Ruger level loads 45 Colt if you so desire. Trading for a Model 10-6 seems good. You could get buttloads of those and Model 15s and 64s for <$150 not too many years ago, so they make great trading stock now!

On the carving ... interesting and well executed. I might replace it with a walnut stock set for general use and save that one for show. They are fairly inexpensive and readily available for the '92. I just prefer a more traditional look.

Thank you all for the opinions. That's just what I was looking for.

The carving of Sitting Bull was what sold me.
The other side is a 'Tree spirit' and is also too gaudy for me.

Thanks for allowing this in the revolvers section. I won't do it again.
But this place feels so much like home ,,You know what I mean?

I see he signed it - that means you can find him and shoot him with his own gun, sort of like Frankenstein killing his creator. Oh well, to each his own, so long as it shoots well.
