I tend to get numb to the crime reports..of which, in my city, there is no shortage. This one, however, makes me heartsick and angry. I have a child her age, and cannot imagine what the parents are experiencing.

I have so much I would like to say about the criminal justice system, a-holes who hurt children, and what they really deserve, but there is no way I could post it anywhere.

That sweet kid had her whole life ahead of her. Thoughts and prayers for her and her family.

Are you kidding me? What did they do; send him to detention?

This is an inexcusable and horrific failure of the justice system in that community.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of the young lady who was the victim.

It's a shame that the death sentence wasn't
called for in this case. They will both end
up getting life, which is way too good for them.
The mother has been convicted, but Zeigler is
still awaiting trial.

I'm confident that should the facts turn out to be as they appear now, that our prosecutor will seek the death penalty. The tragedy, of course, is that if others throughout this animal's past, had been mindful of the safety of the community, we wouldn't be reading this story right now.

Another senseless crime.

Sexual predators should be given mandatory life sentences on the FIRST offense.

If the victim dies....the predator should get the death penalty. NO EXCEPTIONS.
