Tried a different marinate sauce for the deer steaks for thanksgiving..........I give this 5 stars, the wife even had a steak and really liked it. It definitely tenderized the meat you could pull it apart with your fingers. Just thought I’d pass the Recipe on.
Anybody else have a good marinade recipe they like to share?
4 tablespoons butter
1/2 onion, grated
1/2 cup yellow mustard (the kind you get at the ballpark)
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1 tablespoon dry mustard (like Coleman's)
2 teaspoons cayenne
Salt to taste
Cook the grated onion in the butter over medium heat until soft, but not browned. Add the remaining ingredients, bring to a simmer and cook gently for 15 minutes. Let it cool before using as a marinade.
