I have an original Shield 9 (not the 2.0). Wondering what my options are for improving the trigger?

I put an Apex trigger kit in my Shield gen 1 and have never considered a 2.0. Just watch a few videos on install, have proper tools and be sure you understand the process. Mine was a bear but I got it done.

Apex hard sear alone did wonders for 1.0. Not too hard to complete. D.L.Quick

I had a S&W Performance Center sear in my Shield 1.0. It was shaped like the Apex and it made a pretty big difference, dropping the trigger pull 1-1.5 lbs.

If you installed the Apex striker block as well, it would give you more of a rolling break, making the trigger feel lighter even if you didn't install any lighter weight springs while you're at it.

Yes... the hard sear, at ~$40 did wonders and beats the heck out of replacing the entire kit for a couple Hundred.
