I'm in the market for a trigger pull scale. From my research it seems that Wheeler makes one that is getting good reviews. Granted, I would like a digital one but for $65+ the Wheeler would be less than half that.

Any comments welcome.

Brownells carries the Lyman Digital for about 70 bucks. I have one and it's an excellent unit, however it is limited to 12 lbs. max, so if you think you might encounter a trigger heavier than that you may want to pass on it. If you don't think you'll see a trigger this heavy, it's a great unit and is easy to use.

The major draw back to me on this Wheeler unit is that it only goes from 8oz to 8lbs! I'm thinking 8lbs is about where I want to be - but I don't know yet - and it leaves me no to room to experiment. 'My' smith thinks that the model S&W's I have come from factory 10-12 lbs, but he is not sure. 8 lbs does not seem enough to me.

I'll check out the Lyman, I've seen it but the $ scared me off. Methinks I need to reconsider. Thanks for the info scooter.
