Trigger pull weight

Friday,my gun buddy and I went to the range to shoot his new (bought it used) SD9.The range master had a new digital trigger scale.We checked the SD9 and it was 6.447 lbs. My Sigma .40 was 10.323 lbs.My buddy also checked his Glock 22.It was 5.668 lbs.Do these numbers sound correct for factory triggers?

Don't know about the Glock, but the SD sounds about right and the Sigma sounds like one with a few rounds though it.

Yes, that's within usual range; individual guns vary. You can drop the meaningless extra digits after tenths. The scales aren't that accurate, even though they show the numbers.

Uhhhhhhh,I don't know? All I did was write down the numbers when the trigger clicked.

Is your trigger completely stock? I removed the pigtail on my 40 and maybe it's just me but it doesn't feel that heavy. Of course my finger doesn't give me a readout with silly little numbers.

The only thing I have done to it was send it back to S&W for the "gritty" trigger feeling.When I got it back the trigger was so much smoother and felt less heavy.

Mine smoothed out quite a bit after about 4-500 rounds. I've toyed with the idea of polishing it up but it's already nice and smooth so I'll just continue polishing it on the range!

I would say your trigger pull is about normal. I rate mine about the same as a average double action revolver pull.
