I'm hoping that someone(probably anyone) smarter than myself can answer a question I have concerning the stock trigger on the 9mm Shield. Have been carrying a P2000sk DAO for years but am thinking about replacing it(due to its size) with the Shield. Reading the Shield's instruction manual, on page 20 it states "after firing you must allow the trigger to move forward fully before you can fire another shot". I always thought that after you fired the first shot you could let the trigger go back to its reset(NOT all the way forward) and then continue firing until the mag empties - like a normal DA/SA pistol. Is this not the case with the Shield? Have also previously owned a M&P 9c, and didn't recall this issue with that gun. Thanks for any clarification.

Both of my Shields will reset way before the trigger is all the way forward. I think that particular set of instructions might be for brand new shooters.

The manual for the M&P pistols reads the same. The Shield trigger operates similarly to the M&P.

Some good info on the Trigger Loop. The gap adjustment controls the reset timing.......

<as said> Yes, this is also the case with the Shield (9 & 45). It shoots very well off of reset.

Im not going to pull the book out to see what it says ;)
