I lost the rubber piece from a trigger stop screw. I purchased new ones from Brownells (see below) but I can't get the old screw out of the trigger. The rubber nubbin on the new stops is smaller than what I use to have. I don't know of any revolver smiths in the area. I use to give my stuff to Austin Behlert in New Jersey but I think he's retired and I've moved to Florida. Could I find the proper rubber cylinder to simply replace it instead of replacing the entire stop? How do you think I should proceed? Thanks!

Austin Behlert passed away in 2005 at the age of 87. Your overtravel screw is likely loctited in place. You can try heating it with a small torch to see if that's the case. It may also be staked in place, which will require more work. I'm not certain how you'll get a replacement rubber piece to stay in place, it's likely crimped into the screw somehow.

If you are trying to break a loctite bond, another option is to use the tip of soldering iron if there is enough screw exposed. Just applies heat more directly to the screw than most torches can.

I went out and bought some rubber "O" rings where the ring when cut would just fit in the hole of the screw. Then cut the ring put some glue on it and stuck it in. Then after it dried cut it the length I wanted, the curve of the ring really didnt matter and I had alot left over. Good luck, Bob
