Trijicon HD's for Shield

I've got Trijicon HD's on all my other carry guns and would like to put some on my Shield. Anyone know where I can find them? They seem to be back ordered everywhere. I guess that's a good sign for S&W as the Shield seems to be out selling every other single stack 9(just a guess).

I ordered a set from Amazon two days ago. When they arrive I am going to send sights and slide to XD-HS2000.com for installation. Looks like Amazon still has some.

Correct me if I'm wrong but all the Trijicon sights people have been putting on aren't actually made for the shield. But they just came out with the yellow Trijicon Night Sights (TRSA139-C-600721) which are new and made for the shield correct? Everything sold on amazon is actually made for different pistols even though they will fit on the shield. I think I snagged the last set from Tradingpostsupply.com. At least they said they had one in stock so I jumped on it. But yes everywhere else seems to be on back order and expensive. Just type it in to google and look at random stores you may get lucky.

I put Ameriglo sights on my Shield...they're half the price and are actually made to fit the Shield.

Trijicon makes sights designed specifically for the Shield in both the HD and the Bright and Tough. I put a set of the Bright and Tough on my Shield and they fit perfectly.

The Shield specific ones have not been released yet. The Shield and XDS ones will come eventually.

They have not been released yet, the first ones may ship in 10 weeks. By the way Trijicon has been saying 10 weeks since the Shot Show in Jan. The website has been saying 10 weeks for a couple weeks. Released is when they actually ship, or get them out to dealers/ distributors.

I took 9mmjld's advice and looked on Amazon. I found a set for a bit over $150. They do make them for the shield but they are hard to find. Most places have them backordered and Amazon was the only place that I could find a set. I bought them and got them in 2 days.

I just ordered a set that says Shield on them so yes they do make the set. But as the poster said above very hard to find and on back order.

I have the orange front HD's on my Glock 19, yellow fronts on my Glock 26 and my Shield. They are great for night shooting. I'll probably change out the yellows for orange on my G26 and Shield down the road as the Orange is better suited for day shooting.

So the place I found the sights said they all sold out. Amazon looked like they had the orange set in stock through a third party company for 160ish. I eventually found a cheaper set at lapolicegear with 10% off so out the door for 150. Looks like the yellow ones are harder to come by then the orange.

Love the HDs

I also ordered the HD sights for my Shield from Amazon. They are sold by G&R Tactical. I have been searching for these for months and Trijicon's website showed that they were releasing them in March with an 8 week wait for $185. This is the first time I have seen them available from a vendor. I ordered the orange front sight which is what I have and love on my FS 40 and 9C. I got them for $130 including shipping by using Amazon points accumulated on my Amazon Visa that I charge fuel, etc. on!

A day after I said these were not released yet and I finally got a box from Trijicon. I paid for these back in Jan at the shot Show. Finally the Shield's and XDS sights showed up.

If possible, could someone please post a photo of the HD and the B&T sights mounted on their Shield? I will be purchasing a set for my Shield and haven't decided which ones. I am also interested in the amount of white space there Is on either side of the front sight when aiming.

I used my Yellow front/Green rear Trijicon HDs on my FS9 yesterday in a day class.

I've heard the yellow might be easier to pick up for me, as I'm slightly color blind?

Anyway, I'm extremely pleased with these sights. Even in the daylight setting, because we were shooting into an action pistol bay, the sights really stood out plainly.
